MEI Bootcamp
Join the Maine Education Initiative on Saturday, March 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine headquarters in Augusta, located at 205 Church Hill Rd, Augusta, ME 04330.
The day will feature informative sessions to help current and aspiring school board members, educators, and legislators navigate issues related to the state of Maine’s essential programs and services, as well as to understand the mission of the American School Counselor Association and the “media literacy” agenda underway in our schools.
American School Counselor Association (ASCA)
The ASCA establishes the national standards model for school counseling programs in all 50 states. Although ASCA claims they improve student mental health and academic success, levels have continued to decline. This stems from ASCA’s transformation in 2014, which repurposed school counselors as Social Justice Activists, promoting DEI initiatives, critical race theory, and gender ideology (including affirmation without requiring parental consent in some cases). We will dissect ASCA’s deception, teach you how to spot it, and show you what to do about it.
Media Literacy
Media Literacy is being aggressively marketed to school districts nationwide as an essential tool to shield children from harmful, deceptive, and inaccurate information in our digital world. In reality, this so-called “Media Literacy” movement isn’t about genuine education; it’s a calculated effort to indoctrinate and exert control. It has been repurposed in K-12 classrooms to condition students into believing that only sources echoing a far-left, radical progressive ideology can be trusted as credible. We aim to expose this hidden, manipulative agenda and equip you with the tools to push back and protect your kids.
